Icon4 Salve or Master Cylinder?? Which is it?

Just recently my 1997 ford ranger 4x2 manual w/ hydrulic clutch system has had clutch problems.

I bought the ranger about a year ago and the guy i bought it from said that he had just recently replaced the clutch. Since I have been driving it I keep having to fill the clutch fluid resivor and have to keep bleeding it. Just recently no more than two weeks ago I was driving when all of a sudden the truck sort of made this weird pop drop noise and I suddenly have a stalled truck with no clutch and no brakes going no where fast. I checked the resivor it was empty-filled it- pumped the clutch got the truck sort of moving (all jumpy and flickering) got to the side and checked the resivor again and it was empty filled it again pumped the clutch nothing checked the resivor-empty-filled it again got the truck going sort of going again(enough to get me home 3 min away) as i was driving back it was making a grinding noise and couldn't switch gears.

I'm not sure if its the Master cylinder or the Slave Cylinder or even the lines or something totally different.

Anyone have any ideas it would be much appreciated.

Happened to me as well, look where the fluid is coming from... If its out of your tranny it's the slave, if its by the firewall it's master. Check lines as well
