stupid question
Hey everyone. I'm new here, first off I would like to say that later this summer, I'm going to be buying a ford ranger as my first car/truck. I need something to tow around my boat, and the gas mileage is good. I just wish their where more places to off road. I have been looking around here, and other websites for hours.
but to my question..the metal structure behind the cab of a truck with lights attached to it. What is that called? and what are the lights called? Reason for asking is I have not found that metal piece for sale anywhere, I'm not looking forward to spending $400+ on welding equipment to make one. But I did find where to buy the lights tho. Anyone have suggestions on what light to buy for under $200 each? I have till February to get a truck, and complete it.
I'm going to build an off road monster..
I just need to be pointed in the right direction

Thanks, and thank you for what I'm looking for. Id want to put on a headache bar, and a light bar on top of that. Roll bars would just take up space. Unless their is a purpose for it being the way it is.
But I have seen lights for the light bar go from $30-$1500. What is a good decent price for each light?
One more thing, I don't know if people do this or not. Sorry my lack of knowledge. But has anyone ever made their light bar remote control? Where you have a remote control in the cab, and you can move the direction the lights point?
Sorry for the newbie questions, I'm leaving Sunday morning for a USNSCC Boot Camp for two weeks, and all tomorrow I'm packing. I didn't want to ponder about these things while I'm their. Now I can ponder about more important things while I'm their like lift kits, and wheels.
