turn signals are really really fast EDIT in first post

hey all, well i pulled our boat to the lake the other day and since then my turn signals blink normal twice then go really fast, hazard lights are fine. i have tried changing the flasher relay under the steering column, and with the new one it did the same thing, what else should i look for? thanks

EDIT: this morning i got in my truck and they are working fine, dont know what happend, but i do have a heavy duty relay i picked up, should i switch it out so that next time i pull something it doesnt do it again?

Yup! That'll do it. The blinkers in my Blazer are fast now that I put in LED bulbs. They draw less current so they blink faster. I'm pretty sure it'll do the same thing with a blown bulb.

Yep, change the old bulbs unless u have LED ones then they will blink twice as fast.

The european standard is almost twice as fast as american. It's actually probably safer to have fast blinkers, because most people are already in the next lane before their relay gets to it's second cycle.

But there is a way to put in a resistor inline of any LED bulbs you may have to slow it back down to normal.

Bob or John will give us the low-down soon.

did you check the brake lights? I remember a few years back my wife's Cavi was doing that and it turned out to be a break light.

The middle one is for the power windows. The other large relay is for the flashers.

On my ranger, there are 6 blinker bulks. 4 on front, 2 on rear. I removed two of the front ones, and now I am a fast blinker. Anyones know what resistor can I try to put on my + wires to make me a slow blinker again? :-)

Thanks!

sorry to bring up this old post but is their a thing you can buy to make it safe to make them blink Fast? I think one of my lights are out b/c tonight it would go from fast to slow and I couldnt hear that blinker sound. Hazards work fine

that happens to my truck, and what i do to fix the problem is pull the hazzard fuse for about 10-15 seconds, then plug it in, and it will be fine
