Has anyone put 19 lb injectors in a '94 2.3 if so what other mods must be done ( MAF calibration, flashing the pcm, etc.) does it help out enough for me to do it. Does it help or hurt mpg's. thanks

i understand fuel injection, i have read on other sites, that you can install 15 and 17 lb injectors without a MAF recalibration. I was wondering if anyone has done it successfully on this forum. If you want to help me out, you can give me the link to your thread.

 

This was brought up a couple months ago, and sure you can slap them on the truck, but without a calibrated MAF your Air Fuel mixture will be off since the computer does not know there are different injectors installed. The main point to get is that there is zero benefit from the swap.

 

Why would recalibrate the MAF regardless which size injectors you use? I can use 1,000,000 lb injectors. The fuel map needs to be scaled, and the latencies adjusted.

 

Not unless it is stuck in open loop.

Closed loop will decrease the long term fuel trim to compensate. The truck will continue to run stoich.

i think the stock injectors are 14 or 15 lb
