Tricky situation...

Finally installed an aftermarket oil pressure gauge in the ranger...Used a single adapter and new sensor/sending unit...unplugged old one (single wire) my question,...How do I get the "check gage" light to go out?? I don't want to disable it since it serves as a low fuel light too...

ANy help would be very appreciated. Thanks,...Joe

I believe the OEM sensor is simply a switch that’s either open or closed. In this case simply grounding this wire should simulate that its seeing oil pressure or you could use a relay to connect this wire to ground only when the ignition is in the run position.
