Bran used turbos
Well since the guys at the No Pistons Forum suck and can't answer a question, I will ask you guys. I bought some used turbos ebay and i would like to clean them up. I was thinking of getting like 2 cans of carb cleaner and spraying the whole thing down. I don't want to hurt any seals or anything though. What do you guys think.
P.S.- The turbos are for my RX7 not the Ranger. One can only dream.

Don't know much on the turbo area, but if I remember right witht he carb cleaner, you don't want to hit rubber like gaskets or possible plastics or types. Could be wrong though so take a second opinion first, check the can and see what it says. If its metal you should be good to slather it up. Keep in mind a lil grease and such can be good and none can be a bad thing........

Well I have good turbos on my car but the exhaust manifold has a crack in it. I bought these because they came with the turbos, manifold, actuators and boost pipes for $100. I hope all i need is the manifold but i just wanted to clean everything up so i can work on the parts I need and sell what I don't need.
I'm hoping I don't need to rebuild turbos again.
