Instrument cluster swap problems
I swaped my tachless instrument cluster for one out of a 2003 edge with tach, hooked everything up after I changed the miles on the new one to match theone out of my old one, and drove it for 4 tenths of a mile and it stopped reading mileage. So I don't know whats going on, has anyone had the same problem? Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Does the old one swap right in even though its not a speedo with a tach?

I put a 2003 cluster with a tach in my 2000 which had no tach originally.I also put my original odometer in the new cluster because I wanted my miles to be correct.I had no problem with any of the swap.I did the swap at about 70,000 miles and now have 169,000 miles and the tach has been acting up,jumping around at times.I guess the tach has gone bad and I am either going to swap my stock cluster back in or get another cluster with a tach.It gets old going 70mph on the highway with the tach sitting on 5,000 rpm!
