Icon5 canister resting on top of spare tire carrier??

im going off of memory so bare with me. im cutting the back half of my frame off from the cab on, and im wondering what that canister on top of the spare tire carrier is for. it seems that fuel lines run to it? can i completley eliminate that to do my tube bed or would i have to keep that and re-locate it?

Charcoal canister to catch vapors. You can get rid of it, but you wil probably get a code and fail if you have emissions.

I believe its part of the Onboard Refueling Vapor Recovery system. If removed it will set a code and you'll have problems when filling your tank, i.e., displaced vapors in the tank will have no where to go causing fuel to back up in the filler pipe while filling the tank. Additionally, this will causing the dispensing nozzle to shut off. I'd recommend leaving it in place and relocating in the same general orientation as the factory installed position. .
