So for a while now my Ranger will not start, i had the started checked and battery also and are good. When i go to turn it over nothing happens at all except my dash lights go out for a second or two. I have looked at the basic fuzes and all are good. Please someone help me......Thank you for any input!

My '97 used to do that once in a while.. turned out to be just a bad wire just before the starter. Could be the starter relay or solenoid too!

Go check all your electrical connections. Check them at the starter, alternator and battery. I bet you will find either a broken wire, loose connection, or corrosion. Chances are good that it won't be a relay or the solenoid(especially since your saying you had the starter checked) but of course it's still possible.
If it was me I would take off all the connections and clean all the terminals and wires. Tug on the ends of the wires and feel the shrink tube on the end for anything flimsy feeling... Indicates corrosion. Make sure you reconnect everything and all is tight.
Cover all the basics first before spending money on parts.
Good luck my friend

you can pull the starter relay in the fuse box under the hood. probably would just see how much a new one is and replace it. could easily wear out, it is between your ignition switch and starter as far as electricity goes.
