If the OP would have started a NEW thread, someone would flame them for starting it, or someone would chime in with the old SEARCH comment.
I like reading these old zombie threads.
Anyway, I'll take another +1 post count anyway.
I run Silverstar Ultras (9007's & 9005's)

Everything old is new again.
Thread's new to me, and I probably wouldn't have dug it up if it wasn't bumped back to the "front page".
FWIW. I changed to Silverstars about six months into owning my vehicle - went through about 2 pairs of Silverstars in the next couple of years - they seemed to burn out quicker than stock (which were OEM Sylvanias).
Finally just went back to ordinary 9007s - the Silverstars were brighter, but not really worth it, IMO.
Know someone running HIDs - they're really bright, but I don't need something that bright, and I don't need oncoming drivers constantly flashing their headlights at me.
Lot's of good info on lighting on "Daniel Stern Lighting" - Google it, it's full of interesting reading.

I had Silverstars in my truck when I got it from my dad. Been through 3 sets in 6 months because one or the other keeps burning out. Finally decided to stop wasting money on them and went back to OEM bulbs. I don't notice any difference in visibility or distance, but I do notice a reduction in reflection and glare which is better for snowy and wet conditions.
