Chasing this knock, checked plugs (kept putting it off, as I changed them 7k miles ago) and they are ghostly white.
Now, About the time this problem started, I had siphoned a good tank and a half out of my boat, and ran it down to probably 1/8-1/4 tank (at the time fuel gauge didnt work).
So if it is lean, and I was running crap gas, really looking at fuel filter. Where is it located?
If this is it, talk about a sweet and sour feeling..... It is gone, but I have sank 300 dollars for it to turn out to be something as small as a fuel filter.
