Seat belt bell problem 1997

Hello all...

I just got my 1997 Ranger and as I drive down the road, (with the seat belts buckled), the seat belt bell will just start chiming for no apparent reason.

I have ALWAYS been in the habit of buckling up as soon as I settle into the seat anyway.... SO.... can I just unplug the chime with no ill effects?

Thanks everyone!

PS.... I'm just glad it's NOT a BUZZER.....LOL

Yes, but chime may be inside GEM module not sure on 1997

Also try buckling the passenger side seat belt could be a bad sensor in either side
