Window tinting? - Ford Ranger Forums

Ok, I've never had to get my windows tinted, so I have a few questions. How dark can I get it and it still be legal? What percentage do I tell the people? I don't know what all that means. Also for the Houston folks here, do you know of a good place to get it done and about how much did you pay for it? I don't want to go to some place and them do a bad job!

It was 3 windows $208.99 out the door. I'm sure it will vary depending on where you get it done.

Thanks for the info. I'll probably be getting 25% on the sides and 5% on the back window then. I didn't realize it was that much! I'll check around this area though.

your best bet is to use a reputable tinting place that offers a warranty on their work. just tell them you want the darkest that is legal, they will be up to date on the law in your area

Well it was an extra $20 for the lifetime warrenty (explained in my thread).

My quote last year was $149 without warrenty, but it was upped this year.
