PLEASE HELP

I have a 1991 ford ranger with a 4.0 engine. It started to run poor and hesitate at idle. So we did a tune up, plugs and wires. We even removed the idle air control motor and the throttle body and cleaned it out well and replaced the gaskets. It did better. But still got really bad gas milage. Well the other day my brother was driving to work and he said it started to miss really bad and then stalled out and would not restart. So I picked it up off the side of the road with my trailer and got it back to the house. I tryed to crank it but it was hydroed locked. I removed the spark plugs and cranked the engine over until the cylinders were dry. and replaced the plugs with new ones. I got the truck to fire up but it was missing bad. It was pouring fuel from the muffler and fuel started to pour from the vacum lines. I even removed the vacum line from the brake booster and fuel was pouring from that. I removed the fuel pump fuse and the truck ran for over 1 hour without the pump. And I finally got tired and just shut it off. It will still run without the pump fuse. But while the truck is running without the fuse the minute you but the fuse back in the truck dies and the vacum lines pour out the gas. not a drip a continuous stream. Maybe the fuel regualter, I just don't know????????????

One or more injectors have some junk holding them open .Pull them out and clean them, replace the fuel filter , place rags under the openings on the fuel rails. Turn the key on and off a few times to flush the fuel line and then reinstall the injectors.

well I took apart the ranger so far but have not removed the fuel injectors yet but found the problem, the fuel pressure regulator is bad and pouring fuel from the vacum line that I removed from it. That what the problem is that the fuel is being sucked back into the engine from the bad regualor causing low pressure and the engine to hydo lock because of to much fuel going back into the engine.
