2003 Ranger Tail Lights

My father owns a 2003 ford ranger Edge with the standard two bulb setup. Since I have aftermarket lenses, I gave him my old three bulb lenses for a conversion.

However, there's a problem. I have no clue what so ever on how to separate the turn signal out of the brake light circuit. I've found a couple ways but they all seem a tad....let's say "hazardous".

so, in conclusion, What's a fairly straight forward way to get the turn signal out of the brake lights for dedicated turn signals?

Either run straight from the flasher or tie into the front signal for turn and locate the brake light circut fir the brake lights. That's kind of an unusual swap. Most go from the 3 bulb setup to a 2 bulb and that only requires a trailer wiring adapter.

That sounds like it'll work. And yeah, it's not something you hear about every day. However both of us like dedicated turn signals.

They make trailer light kit adapters for just that issue.

And no reason you couldn't run dual bulbs in each side, both for used flashing and brake

Funny you should mention that. I had found one this morning. This one to be exact. Tow Ready - 2 To 3 Tail Light Converter | 4WheelParts.com

And, yeah; that is true. I considered rewiring mine to achieve that effect, but in the end decided against that.
