wiring interior LED lights

From parts store get an "Add-A-Circuit" and install it to one of the fuses that protects one of your lights. You can use 18 guage wire and a 1 amp fuse for this since LEDs don't draw much at all. I wouldn't use less than 18 guage wire just because smaller guage stuff is so flimsy and difficult to splice properly. You'll want to remove your console to do the wiring but the miniconsoles come off very easily. Under the console is the restraint system module and you can get a ground from the mounting bolts. Add a small toggle switch on the side of the console if you want to...either on the ground side or the power side. Route your power from the fuse box on far left side of dash looping the wire over things so the wire stays behind the dash. Do all your wiring before you plug in Add-A-Fuse just to prevent accidently shorting the circuit and blowing your original fuse. Easy install and should take no longer than an hour and probably less than half that.
