I have an all red third brake light on my Ranger and I hooked it up with an XLT harness because I had plans to rewire it so that all three lights lit up when I hit my brakes to light it up all the way across...how could I do so without any problems or chances of melting the harness?

it shouldnt be that hard all u should need is a couple wire splices and some wire i was thinking about doin the same thing but i just love having those other two lights in for in the bed.... but to kind of get off subject i was wondering how i could wire those other two up so when i open the door the come on just like the f150s do

 

to be safe. run a seprate power wire up there for both two lights. use a relay hook up the constant 12+ ground it and run the 12+ switch as the power on the center light and then hook up the bulb....am tired so that probly doesnt make sence..

 

Your cargo lights are currently powered by the black/pink wire from the dimming module. If you disconnect from that wire and power them from the black/light blue dome light wire instead, they will come on whenever the dome light is on. Be sure to insulate the cut end of the black/pink power wire.
