First thks for asking, I should have put it in the OP.
OEM is my preference, I am not sure of the aftermarket quality.

There is a hard near me where they pull the parts for you so they run on the pricey side. I can take a look for you there. I have seen some aftermarkets that run about 60.00 for the set shipped and they are of good quality so you may want to go that route. They are all over ebay

If you happen by the JY, it would be good of you to look.

Ok, the yard has them, they want 50.00 each side and said they can not hold them without a payment. Right there is 100.00 plus me shipping them to you, so you may be better off going with the aftermarkets since they are half that, and brand new. Some of the ebay companies will give you a real good warranty on them as well so I recommend that route.

Certifit, that's probably what Shane mentioned and that's where I got mine. There is one in Randolph, that's where I picked em up.

I have more pics in my project thread, didn't want to clutter this one

Thks for the info P.C..
Do these mirrors come in one piece, powered units ?
I looked at the Certifit Site and could not locate any one piece housings.
I e-mailed them asking the same question but didn’t know if the OEMs were one piece.

I don't think they offer the 1 piece ones at all. I found some on ebay that are power, 1 piece, black. for 54 a side.

Certifit, $100/pr powered blk mirrors but not the textured.

So the $100 for eh OEM is sounding better all the time.

Clinton, are these mirrors the black textures units and you did say powered.
What year vehicle are they from ?
Sorry for all of the questions but I want to make sure they are what I want.
Also, what condition, not marked up that is ?

thks

I looked them up on the Certifit Site, cost plus shipping and tax is almost $100 for the pair.

$15 shipping, not worth driving to randolf MA.

That beat $260/pr OEM.

Thks for the direction, I need to decide which is best for me.

A little off topic but don't you have manual mirrors? I know you've had power wired doors sitting for over a year so what's the point in buying power if they're either gonna sit or be installed w/o power?

Anyone have any idea about these mirrors, quality vs OEM ?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/120929599260...ht_2200wt_1299

I can get a pair for $71.30, CHEAP, yes in price but what about cheap in workmanship, the drive motor ?

P.C. what brand did you end up with and did you get new gaskets with yours ?

I stay away from aftermarket mirrors. When I rebuilt my truck 10 years ago I put an aftermarket mirror on one side and now that one is faded badly and cracking apart in spots but the OEM one on the other side is still in good shape. Hold out for OEM IMO.

Well, that was 10 years ago. There are alot more manufacturers out there and the plastics have improved. It still can happen, depends on the seller and the quality of parts he provides. I have seen a decent amount of ebay sellers with some good aftermarket mirrors.

Being old school I am with 01_Ranger, that is why I am holding HOPE for you Clinton…

I am so leery of aftermarket stuff, I always look for the return policy before ordering.
