Ive decided ill never use the head unit at its full capabilities, so im going to upgrade/switch to a indash dvd navi system which ill actually use. unit is in full working order, still installed in the truck. mine didnt come with the remote though.

 

Does the equalizer only hook up to the headunit? I have two amps (sub and door speakers) and was wondering how this would work.

 

I ran it off the headunit to control my sub and components. worked great.

 

I'm guessing equalizer's are not unit specific?

 

nope, just has a groud, power, remote wire, then run rcas from head unit to EQ and your good to go. this was my first eq and i loved it.
