The buggman special edition is like mine:

The two outer red sections connect to your turn signals/hazards so they blink with the turn signals... left for left turn, right for right, both for hazards.

Some additional wiring is needed to connect to the turn signals, but it's just 4 wires.

 

but then does the brake led's extend all the way to the outside when not using turn signals? haha sorry im being picky. just want to know
also, do you use white leds in them? does it look red when they are illuminated? or does the video just make it look white.

 

The brake lights only lights up the center section with the buggman mod version.

There's not a lot of room to work inside there, but I'm looking at testing one with 3mm led's rather than 5mm led's to see if it can be done. The 5mm led's have more light output than the 3mm's & take a lot less work.

The led's are red in the buggman & all red versions, they look almost white in the video, but my camera doesn't like capturing the red led's very well.

got any for sale at the moment?? My aftermarket LED third brake light is looking pretty bad. And im honestly surprised it isn't leaking since the plastic is starting to chip away where it goes up against the cab. haha

I believe the super duty's use the same 3rdBL as the Rangers. The connectors should be the same as well.
Same price as the "Ranger" ones, depending on how elaborate you want to go.

The basic all red or cargo's are $50 +sh/ins

 

Do you have a cargo version ready to go? The 3rd brake light is cracked on my dad's superduty and I want to get him this as a belated fathers day gift

 

I do have a cargo light done, but it doesn't have the oem connector... I didn't have a connector for this one & I had to improvise... I added a 3 position screw terminal to the led wiring. It won't be 100% plug-n-play, you'd need to cut the wires from the old connector, strip about 1/8" from the ends & screw them into the terminal strip.

I'm hoping to get modding a few more 3rdBL's before too long though & I now have a few more oem connectors.

 

did you ever figure out the adjustable resistor thing to change the flash rate of the sequential turn part? (we talked about this a LONG time ago)

Well, I've been doing a little more testing & I'm almost done with the next generation of my LED modded 3rdBL's.

No pics or videos of this one yet, but as of now I'm calling it "Jules Wallet" because it's gonna be a BMF!
This one is all red, uses some new style (new to me anyhow) LED's & may very well be the brightest all red 3rdBL I've done so far. Yup, it may even be brighter than the ultra bright 120+ LED version that I only did a couple of.

Pricing is TBD at this point.

This is just the beginning though, I already have a cargo light version in the works.

I'm doing some design work & layouts for what will likely be a one-off build that will have nearly 3 times as many of the new mega bright led's as the BMF has!!
These LED's are MUCH more expensive than my normal high output led's, but they have a much wider viewing angle and really throw out a lot of light
This one won't be cheap by any means, probably over $100.00 +sh/ins BUT if you absolutely MUST have THE brightest 3rdBL, this bad boy is just for you.

For those of us who don't have a river of money flowing in out back yards, I do plan on designing an economy version using less LED's that will still be very bright.
Not to worry though, I'll still be doing my Classic LED 3rdBL conversions too.

If all goes well, I hope to have some night time side by side comparison pics & videos of each version... just have to get them all modded first.

I know it's a little early, but I think this is going to be one of those things that I just can't live without.
I have been following your work for a while now, and I'm about ready to pull the trigger. I'll probably be ordering quite a few things so I can do a full Buggman tail conversion.
I haven't purchased anything from you yet, but have read nothing but good reviews about your work. Can't wait to see the new prototypes!
