Stepside Wilderness Rack - AZ -$100.00 OBO Take and Carry

I need this out of my garage. If it does not move, I will be taking it metal recycling yard. New price is $100.00 o.b.o. take and carry. Two years ago, I spent $550.00 in materials and fabrication to bring this rack to life. I have found another use for the lights, so they are not included.

For $100.00 I was hoping to not have to deal with the hassles of shipping. That being said, I will take some measurements and post them up. If you would like to research and respond with the specifics pertaining to what it would require to ship something like this, I will entertain the idea. My zip code is 85743. I would like to see this rack being used rather than scrapped.

I'll do some research tom i know i had my brushguard shipped via greyhound and for the size of that, it wasn't to pricey to ship

i really don't want to see this go to the scrap yard plus i think it would add a much more aggressive look to my truck

too bad its hard to sell man. It'd be perfect for a "wilderness medical response ranger", such as a firefighter or parks service person to put on a work ranger and fill with gear.

Check grey hound for shipping I know they handle oversized stuff on the cheap and its fast. I have always liked that rack and would hate to see it scraped.

Based on a bathroom scale reading (not the greatest for accuracy) it weighs roughly 155 lbs. It is 13" tall, 60" wide from light housing to light housing, and 73" long from mount to mount. The rear basket portion of the rack and bed mount brackets could be boxed up as a second package to reduce the weight of the rack to keep it under 150 lbs if necessary.

with out the basket can you give a rough estimate how much it would weigh then? cause if it drops 50 lbs off of it, i can for sure use greyhound. and ship the basket separately

My guess would be 25lbs or so, but I will need to weigh it to be sure. You may also want to see if it meets all of the dimension guidelines. I am guessing that it is a bit too wide.

Cool. When you talk to UPS see if it needs to be packaged or on a pallet. The rack will not break. I can not imagine a reasonable way to box it up. Hopefully we can just bubble wrap a couple of the edges that might catch other items (mostly the light housings). I can box the basket portion and the brackets since those would be easy to do. I would prefer to not deal with a pallet if possible.

Thanks. There are two lights per side. Some of the pictures were taken before I added the light housings.

So I was thinking, if you fliped the mounting brackets to the other side of the rack along the diagonal so the bracket was on the outside of the bushing mount it just might be wide enough for a style side bed. might be something to consider for anybody with a regular bed that was interested in this.
