hey, so i did the 3 inch lift and everyone went great except for the shifter extension. it's on, but it has a ton of play, about half inch to inch up and down, and inch or two left to right. it doesn't seem like that stupid bolt that holds it on, gets tight on the flat part of the extension. any words of advice anyone? it says, tighten the nut on driver side to pull that bolt out, and tighten on passenger side to pull it back into place. i tightened on the passenger side until i felt like the bolt was going to break honestly. and it still has the play in it. still goes into gear fine, i drove it home today, but 1st and 2nd it doesn't like to fully engage those 2 it seems and the others are fine.

You could put some blue loctite under it, but it'll make it a pain to get off later.

Perhaps you can just wrap the stock shaft with some electrical tape to get it a tighter fit.
It's hard to deal with poorly made aftermarket parts, I'm a machinist, and I might make myself one of these, if I do I'll see if anyone else wants one.

yea i finally got the ford dealer here to answer the phone and they're telling me the only thing they sell is the entire shifter assembly and that has the bolt in it. i just want the bolt only from them so that in case i break this one while tightening it up more, i'll have another. anyone know where i could find just the eccentric bolt that holds it in place?

Just use a lock nut. I had the same problem. no matter how many times I tightened it with the nut it came with, it kept coming loose. the locktite is another solution.

yea lol. i took it off today to check it out. the bolt's threads are jacked up a bit, but the bolts threads are totally gone. i realize i tightened it just a bit more than necessary but not "that" much lol. the thing that gets me is that the bolt never pulled far enough in to tightened the shifter up. it still has play in it. the eccentric part of the bolt is supposed to pull into the flat spot on the shifter extension. but it just doesn't go far enough for some reason. the nut wasn't loose for sure. and the bolt won't move at all now unless i just beat it out.
