Drivers side grab handle

Just wondering if the drivers side has provisions for mounting OEM overhead grab handles.

My passenger side already has an overhead grab handle, I was thinking after I SAS an overhead handle may be handy.

Just to be clear, I'm not talking about A pillar handles, I want to know about overhead ones

the metal support should be there, but i don't think it's drilled/tapped for one. you could pull your headliner out, figure out how to mount one, get the holes drilled etc, put headliner back in and bolt in handle.

Cool, I'll try to find one in a junkyard and do that.

Are the overhead grab handles specific in any years?

nope. My red truck didn't have it but the pos 98 green one had it. it was the same trim too, both 4x4 off-roads.
the green truck had 4 handles, two on the pillars and two on the top -_-

I'm waiting until Christmas break to work on this. At my house in Rolla I don't have a good work area, especially when it's winter.

I should be starting this the week before Christmas

I will be removing the Pillar Handle on the driver's side and installing it above the door.
I find the upper handles are more usefull.
I only have the Pillar Handle on the passenger's side too and that may move to the top of the door.

Post a pic of what it looks like under the headliner, I will if I get to it before you.
Thks
