Hi all, i have an 01 ranger xlt 4 door, and the cup holders are huge. cant hold any cup or bottle of water without tipping over spilling or rolling under my feet. This usually ends in me speaking in a language id rather not express here. is there a brilliant mod or an insert to make this thing usable? It has no rubber insert im thinking there is one but I cant seem to find one. I would love to rip out the whole little console and put one of those from the auto parts but they are ugly and I only like the fact that they have adjustable cup holders.

 

im guessing the inserts are missing. I can hold anything from a can of pop to a 32 oz drink.

 

those ones on the floor? or the one attached to the 60 part of the seat?

 

01s didnt have the cupholders on the seats.

 

I guess ill go out in a bit and shoot a pic you guys know these things better than me anyways.

Looks like that's it what are they called? Cup holder inserts? They dont look like they reduce the size very much. ive looked on ebay with little success. let me try again.

 

ok i found a set for 12 bux but i don't know if ill like them. anyone replace their console with something better? ive seen the explorer console put in this might be the perfect excuse to spend the money on this mod.

 

the inserts work pretty good, I have never had a problem with them. About your only other factory option is an explorer console or a shorty console.

You can invert them thus allowing a 12 oz can to fit perfectly. I am confident these will solve your problem.

EDIT: I just looked again and your water bottle may still flop around a bit.
