Icon6 Got my explorer overhead console.

HI!... Well I got my EXPLORER overhead console. It was bought as a kit. It came with the mounting bracket, temp sensor and pigtails for the sensor and the console. Even came with the mounting screws. lol! The only problem it is light blue.

That got fixed quickly. I dismantled the console and put it in my sandblasting cabinet on low PSI. About 40PSI. Worked perfectly. I luv not having to sand. lol! Got it painted tonight as well with the same trim paint I used on my dual "A" pillar gauge pod. Just got to put it back together tomorrow and then install it when I have time. Here's a few pics :

HI!... Well I just finished the mechanical aspect of the console install. I'm probably going to wait until the weekend to do the electrical. I think it turned out well. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to get my hands on a EXPLORER center console. A guy I know says he has a bunch of them at the junk yard he works at.

Here's a few pics :

Looks really good. One of my favorite mods I have done to my rig.

I am jealous that you have a sand blasting booth.

HI!... It helps to have the tools. I got sick and tired of having to run all over to get stuff done. I currently have a MIG welder, plasma cutter, drill press sand blasting cabinet with air filtration unit, 40 gallon parts washer, hydraulic press, brake, two electric air compressors and one gas powered portable (for the dragstrip), and more hand tools than I can count.

Its not an actual button, you put the actual remote in that little compartment and when you push the 'button' it pushes the button on the remote. I can grab a pic of mine tomorrow.
