Radio Bezel Vent Question

Ok, the new radio bezel I put in does not have the vents with the on/off lever on them. The vents are really crappy. So, the question is can I put the kind with the on/off control off my old bezel in place of the ones that do not have them? I measured and do not think they will fit but was wondering if you could dremel the sides alittle to get them to go in.

what did the new bezel come out of? the vents are different from an explorer to a ranger... explorers have a slider wheel on the side to open, and close the vents, and the rangers don't have it... but the bezel will still fit

You can swap on one of the 00 and older vents with the off/on flaps if you want. Direct swap.

So....take the vents from your old bezel, and put it on your new one.

holy crap! Well..I just confirmed what you just found out. I've got a few bezels lying around and I checked 'em out. And by golly, the holes are different sized! I never knew that!!

I have been OWNED, Robert. lol.

SO.....

You are looking for one that has two cig lighter spots, 2wd, no fog, and with the vents that have the block off flap. Correct?

The new one that I got in the truck is 2wd/2 cigs/fog light. So, does anyone think it is possible to dremel the sides and fit the flapper kind in? Or, the ones in it now keep falling down. How do I fix that? The damn things wont stay up.

Sure....you could dremel it. But I worry about how nice it would look without a nice finished edge.

Your bezel you are after...I've never seen...flapper + fog + 2 cigs.

I dont have to have the flappers. I just wanted to replace the ones in it cause they suck. Is there anyway to fix the ones in it from falling down all the time?
