Hey guys,
I'm thinkin of getting one of those ceiling consoles. I'd like one with a digital compass, you know what I'm talking about? I don't know how that all would work, I.E. where to get one, installing it, etc... so here I am askn' you. It would be installed in a 2000 Ranger XLT. I know how to wire it up, but thats about it.

Look in my Cardomain site via the signature in my link. Pages 3 an 4 are a how-to. They may have copied it here.

One usually gets them from junkyards. I've pulled a few and probably installed a dozen of them over the last 3 years or so. It's like no big deal anymore to do the install, lol.

and for any further searching you might do most people refer to them as OHC or over head console. shoul help narrow stuff down with the serch function good luck

 

On here the how-to's say "overhead console". If you search the internet in general all the terms we just mentioned are useful. "explorer overhead console" narrows it down quite a bit.
