Center console Ideas

I have bucket seats in my 06 Ext. Cab. What are some suggestions for a full length center console? I like the "extention" that came with the sub in it, if anyone has a part number to assist my search. Other than that, what are some consoles you guys have swapped out for?

I personally swapped my normal 60/40 console for the explorer full length console, second generation.

I personally wouldn't advocate for someone to use this console (95-01) if they can find the 02-05(?) console found in the third generation explorers. It looks fine, but after you use it it's flaws unfold rather quickly. Some of the time the two black pieces don't quite fit together, which is annoying. It's almost impossible to find an armrest that hasn't been ruined and/or duct taped, not to mention replacements that are good cost like 60 bucks most of the time, etc etc etc.

That being said, the second gen (95-01) console isn't a bad console, but certainly not great either. I'm finding myself desiring to swap to the newer console if I can find one. If not then no big deal.

That particular extension is pretty hard to find. Ford wants a ton for it, and it's highly unlikely they still have any. You're pretty much looking for one from a wrecked truck.

My arm rest is broken, and the remaining console is the cheap feeling, skreaky plastic. It drives me insane anytime I put my elbow on it. How much retro fitting is required to fit an explorer console in the rangers?

Next to none. You'll need the floor mount and two bolts to hold it to the dash. Attach the floor mount to, well, the floor, slide the console in and bolt it up to the dash. Done with the mounting.

The electrics take only as long as the amount you install. If you have no lights or anything it's already done. Easily done in one day.

Awesome. I may start searching for a 3rd gen explorer console. Thanks.
