Don't know the part number, but if'n you are lookin for one check out ebay or certifit(I think that it), they have parts a lot cheaper than a dealer.

I've got the same center console. Came out of like a '99 or '00 truck. What are you looking for?? The piece that has the cupholders? OR the entire center console?? That console won't work with 60/40's unless you cut the 60part into a 40, and add what we call a "shorty console". All the ranger short center consoles from 98+ are just like what is pictured.

But to answer your question...I cannot seem to find a part number for what ford calls "coin holder", #8 in the diagram below ripped from 1stfordparts.com.

I think the one with the subwoofer is better...dunno how much that one is though. I got it from the factory in my truck, its longer and has the woofer build in, under the cupholders

Oh my!! Might as well stick with a Full Length one or the one shown above. Don't need a super huge center console.

The console is the same as the ones that can be found in first explorers. They're a dime a dozen. Here is one
96 1996 Ford Explorer OEM Center Console, Gray LKQ:eBay Motors (item 190331875043 end time Sep-29-09 10:58:02 PDT)

That one is exactly like the one thats in my FX4 except mine has a vinyl armrest instead of cloth.

What does it matter if its out of an explorer? or a ranger? They both fit, they're exactly the same. You have to be careful cause a lot of them have broken arm rests. Some you'll see have a different part #5 off shanes exploded diagram. The one that I posted is exactly like my FX4 console. If you don't like that insert just get a different one.

the explorers have less of a gap inbetween the draw and armest, i like the rangers with a gap, so i can put my phone there and wallet for quick access.
but yur right they are the same, i need to find one and the ones online are over priced.... how much they usually run?

I believe less gap = broken, I'm pretty sure they're the same if not its just the arm rest thats different and could be changed. I really think what you're seeing the broken arm rest. I don't know what they normally run. I paid $100 for my mint condtion bucket seats and console. I think that was a steal, especially when I sold my old bench for $120.

I have this one for sale. It's from a sport trac and I found the bag online because you can't get it from Ford anymore. It has cupholders in the back of the arm rest too. I bought another truck and took it out of my old one.

Let me know if you are interested. The cupholder piece swaps out with all consoles.

Thanks,
Zach
