i want to make an effort to stop smoking in my truck, and i know that if my interior is clean and smells brand new, it will discourage me to do it.
my question is this...i am thinkin of taking the seats and carpet out and cleaning them individually....but how would i go about this? wash the carpet with soap and water then useing a bissel steam machine? would that be good?
as far as seats go, how would be a good way to clean them?
I've made the same attempt you have but it always seems to fail. Although 2 weeks ago when i got my windows tinted, i tried not smoking in it again. It worked so far. I've also been meaning to take out my seats and do a huge clean on it, except i don't have carpet, i have the plastic stuff. My seats are also not cloth so i couldnt help you there either. So basically my post doesnt really have any meaning except for wasting your time. Sorry.
yah febreeze does the trick...but i was just wanting a genuine deep down clean feel/smell
if nothin else, it sits in my mind that the carpet is dirty as hell and needs deep down cleaning, and damn...steph wears all these damn glitter belts and etc that love to leave glitter all in the seats....they gotta go :)
My truck was smoked in when i got it. and ask anyone thats been in it. it smells brand new now. took out all my seats out vacuumed really good. steam cleaned the carpet and the seats. let it completely dry one hot day when i did it. and then fabreez the crap out of the truck let that dry out. cleaned EVERY plastic peice with 409 to get the *smoke film* off everything then put it all back and vacuum all the time now and about once a year or so re-spray the truck with fabreez
