Gauge cluster?

Im looking at a guage cluster on ebay thats really cheap (as of right now), the only thing is that its for an auto tranny. Is there a way to remove the gear indicator at the bottom of the cluster so it looks like its made for the manual tranny truck? and I assume a auto tranny cluster will work in a manual tranny truck right?

Also, will a 01-03 guage cluster work in a '00? Im getting a cluster with a tach.

It will fit and work but you may or may not have minor differences with the idiot lights.

All you have to do to convert it to manual is remove the gear indicator and swap over the small black plastic cover from your original manual cluster. Should be very easy.

I've got to guages on ebay to choose from:
1. a '00 4x4 auto tranny cluster with 82k miles on it

OR

2. a 01-03 manual tranny cluster with 131 miles on it (not 131k)

Which should I go for? If nobody bids on either one, I should be able to get one for 10 bucks.

Personally, I would choose the 2000 one because it will for sure be 100% compatible and it should have less wear (less miles). All of the black clusters have the 4x4 indicators, even your original.

Its all plug and play, you iwll not have an issue. Also the gear indicator for the autos snaps right out.
