Scan Guage Mounting

I'll be getting a Scan Guage this weekend and I've been trying to think of some mounting places. So, post up where you've mounted yours and some ideas of where I could mount mine. I'm not looking to do anything to complicated to mount it though but I'm still open to your ideas.

Don't have one, but I'd mount it above the mirror.

I vote below your head unit. Pretty easy install, easy to read too.

I've had mine on the steering column, right under a single din radio and on top of the mirror. On top of the mirror was easily my favorite.

I've been thinking of making a thin metal mount that I would epoxy to the top of my radio bezel. It would go behind the bezel and come out and the SG would sit right on top of the bezel.

That's why I can't do mine like that. Double din kinda takes up all the space.

If you go to Scangauge's website and click on the 'X-Gauge' tab at the top, then click the first link for XGauge commands, scroll down to 'Enhanced Data' and under the Ford PWM is the codes to enter into the Scangauge for trans temp. To enter the codes into the Scangauge press more>more>more>xgauge>edit from the home screen.

Above my radio is a small slot to maybe fit a cd case or something? How does the radio mount up higher so i could put the scan gauge below it like in the picture?

The radio can be mounted in either position, it runs on little rails that can be unscrewed and mounted in the upper position. If you remove the screws holding the radio bezel, just above the heat and ac controls, the bezel/radio will slide out and you will see how the radio is mounted.

To mount the Scangauge I trimmed the plastic tray that you can put a cd case or whatever into so that the Scangauge would fit inside. I just trimmed the bottom of the tray though and left the top to apply double sided tape to stick the Scangauge to.

Hopefully this helps:
