I have a 2008 Ranger Ext Cab XLT. I want to do the 60/40 to the 40/40 seat mod and install a center console. Does anyone know what year/years explorer consoles will work in my truck?

im pretty sure that any year full length console will work but i know any year shorty console will fit

 

Wrong. 98-01 full length. You can also get a full length out of a Ranger, they look pretty good.

 

I'd also add up to i believe 06 explorer sport and explorer sport trac consoles as well.

I guess full lengths... This '06 Trac has a different cup holder insert, I kinda like it.

ya.....so long the explorer has the same dash as the ranger...it'll fit.

the newer style ones are not able to be used in a manual transmission truck though.

i know it's hard to tell in this pic..but i believe this is an 05 expo sport....

 

So will the sport Trac seats fit in the Ranger?

 

some have done it...i want to do it actually. you're talking the 02+ style explorer...but they are on sport trac and sport tracks.....someone over at rps i think did it and i do want to do it if i find the seats....they are effin' comfy!

 

It's not just a direct swap like the 98-01 Expo seats is it?

 

If you find one of these consider your self lucky. They are a lot harder to come by then a explorer console.
