Expo power seat swap

what do you guys think of tan leather full power heated expo seats in a medium graphite interior?
i can go get them saturday morning and power seats are $40 a piece at pickapart

these seats (99 expo that rolled HARD, but seats are very good condition, just kinda dirty)

What all of the parts do i need? i have the old seatbelts where the metal clip is fat, not long and skinny. so i assume ill need the seatbelts. but what about pretensioners? my truck is pre passenger airbag aswell.

ill need to wire them aswell, but thats for a future thread.

I think you just use your stock pre-tensioners. The expo seats bolt right in using their seat track I am pretty sure.

Yup there right below the pastic on the seat...just unbolt those ones on them, Then take your tensioner and put it on with the bolt that was on your seat.

O yeah and on the explorer seat that your putting your tensioner on your going to have to bend the tab's back so you tension sits on it right.

Just swap the part that the belt clips into over to the expo seats. They might not even be part of the seat. I've never had my seats out so I'm not 100% sure.

Pretty sure its just a power and ground wire. I don't see why it would need anything else.

https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...stall-how.html That should help you a lot. It looks like by the pictures that you can take the part that the seat belt clips into off the seat and swap it.

I don't know if that means 99-Before Rangers don't have peetensioners. Of a set of years didn't have them but if your truck dosen't have them then that's one less thing you have to swap over.

for the heated seats, i think there is a timer or something in the dash to control the TED inside the seat, i dont think you can just use a switch

they pull it, you stand there and watch lol.

the guy wanted like $120 out the door for some MINT expo cloth seats. no joke, these were good enough for me to put in my then brand new truck... I just decided not to last second in favor of other mods and the endless search for actual Ranger buckets
