This is what happened to my neighbors brand new Chrysler Aspen 30 minutes after he got it home. It also burnt up the van parked in front of it. Unfortunately car fires happen more often than you’d think.

Burnt up Chrysler

Oh yea, word of advice here. MAKE SURE THE PIN IS SECURE!!!!!!

If you have ever discharged one of these things, you know what a huge mess they make. If something is on fire, the mess is probably the least of your worries. However, it will really ruin your day if one of these things goes off in your cab by accident. You will NEVER get it all cleaned and if you are in the truck, you'll be sneezing out dry-chem for weeks.

We had a distributor come to our fire station and demonstrate these extinguishers.VERY impressive.Smaller than a two pound unit but 10 times more effective.
He put about 1 gallon of gasoline inside a car tire and lit it off.Let it burn for about 3-4 minuites and put it out in 10-12 seconds without it re-igniting.Then immediately reached down and touched the tire .It was barely warm.
We bought ten gallons of it right then to add in our truck tanks.
