I drilled holes and mounted 2 super-bright blue LEDs from Radio shack in my center bezel. I used resistors per N3ELZ's writeup, and wired them into the headlight switch (where I'd already tapped in for my glow gauges) so they only come on at night. You could also wire them into acc. power so they're on whenever the vehicle is running. I got bored with just the center vents being lit up so I extended wires and mounted one in each of the outer vents on the drivers and passenger sides as well. It was tricky picking a spot that wouldn't interfere too much with the "shutter" door and then not be very obviously visible (its in poor taste, in my opinion, to have the bulb visible, you should just see the blue glow.) I thought it would be neat to have them switch to red when the heat is on, but then I remembered I lived in FL and have used the heat maybe 3 times in 53000 miles, so its not worth the headache to wire it. Besides, if I was to go through that trouble, I'd want them to have a dimmer effect where the blue fades to red, and thats hard to do without an array of smaller LEDs.
