Found me a new dome light.

Found me a new dome light.
Honestly, at first I wasn't too thrilled at the concept of swapping my dome light. I know, I'm a party pooper, but I had my reasons. Being in Germany makes it impossible to find an American Ford in any junk yard, so finding a dome light would have been a hard task to begin with. Then, there was the wiring. I can do the wiring, but just didn't think it'd be worth it for a couple map lights. Then the painting. I know there aren't many dome lights with the same color plastic as the interior of my 2010 truck
Here's where my attitude changed...
I went with a buddy of mine to look for a part he needed for his VW Golf. We walk into the junk yard and start to look around. Bam, I damn near run into a 1994 Ford Explorer Sport. Of course, I start snooping around the gutted Expo. Looking inside, I see the dome light and it instantly clicks, that light looks way better than mine, lol.
So, I snag the tan dome light and pick up a Krylon Satin Black spray can on the way home. I quickly tear it apart and start cleaning it and prepping for paint. I check the base plate of the dome light to see if I'm going to be drilling holes in the mouthing plate... no drilling required. This whole time I'm making plans for LED lights and such, just all excited.
Anyway, as of now, I have the wiring done, everything is test fitted and works perfectly. Now I have it torn apart and prepped for paint...
Let me know if I should to a How-To since I still have it all apart.
Pictures to come... oh the excitement.... from a dome light, lol.
