Door panel removal for speaker install

I found the post on "how to remove the front door panel", the only problem is that is was for a door with manual window.

How would I remove the door panel to put new speakers in if I have power window and locks (2001 XLT), do I have to remove the section that has the buttons for the power controls?

As you can see I have no idea how to do this

Thanks

Same deal.. just dont have to remove any window cranks heh.. Yes you'll need to remove the section that has the buttons, because it covers up another screw that you'll need to remove to lift the panel up and off.

u shouldnt have to take the buttons out ? at least i have never heard of this in any other manu's all that you should have to do is find all the screws in the panal remove them and then simply unbutton the pannel and lift it off the buttons should be solid to the panal and held in place on the back side should be cliped in all u do is unclip and take off ( it sounds WAY more complicated than it acutaly is manuals are harder only couse of the window crank u have to have a special tool for them trust me man u can do it once u understand how to do u can have it off and on again in less than 5 mins the hardest part is finding the screws ( NOW having said that im no expert at fords but i have taken Many door panels off and they have always been the same basic set up iv never heard of the buttons having to be removed ) * i always do my own speakers and so on )

This is what I did. First unscrew the lower screw to the left. Second remove the panel that holds your control for lock and windows. Then unscrew the screw behind that area. After the just lift the panel up and out to reveal your speaker. The speaker is held in by 4 either 8mm or 7mm bolts.
