Adding a switch to the actual dash board, by the headlights....

I have come to the conclusion, that my KC light switch is too far away. (how those of you with the fog light button on the other side of the bezal deal, i have no clue) I use my KC's quite often, and have come to the conclusion, that it would be ALOT easier, and convient to drill a hole in my dash and put in a small round switch next to my head light switch... only like, 2inches to the right, on that like, flat area on the dash. theres enuff room behind it to support a switch there, actually I could line them up could put my fog light switch there too... but I dunno... i dunno if I can bring myself to actually drilling a hole into my dash.... any thoughts on this?

I say go for it man. I think it would definitely be easier to access there, plus its really more out of the way, as only the driver can really see it.

I think that would be a sweet spot. As long as the room is there behind the dash. Would be a different spot than most people have their aux switches.

Only thing therer is the dash dimmer switch right next to the headlite switch. What.....U gonna put it to the right of the dash dimmer??? I'm putting all my switches on the Exploder center console. Need a pic?? My dash has been torn apart for the last 4 months.....heck don't have the clear piece that goes ontop of the gauges in yet.

Easy to do, just some basic tools knowhow and wiring. Just remember to check and clear behind the dash area before drilling into it. Nothing like drilling into a bundle of wires, but that's a whole other story that I didn't participate in.

oh ya theres miles of room behind where i wanna put the switch. infact, my dash is still half apart cause i painted that metal kick panel thing, cause mine was rusting.... and havent put it back in. i figure, id pop it out, drill the hole, pop in the switch, connect the wires, and be done with it...

Ya, lifting my hand and pointing my finger to push in the fog light button IS a lot of work...
