Goofing around with the radio bezel

Thanks to Bob (rwenzing) for input past, and earlier today. I've finally gotten around to doing a little interior modding...

I kind of cut the hole just a hair too large, but I'm not too disappointed in the results. It's pretty much the first time I've done anything like this. The only reason it even ended up a little too large was because I got a tad too happy using the dremel and trying to round the corners. Anyhow, I'm about to go paint it here shortly and while that dries i'll be figuring out the wiring.

Thanks again Bob.

Chris

thats why I like switches that have an overhang, so even if you make the switch a little big, you can still mount the switch without seeing any extra space.

use a little bondo on it before you paint it to make it look more factory...and to close up the hole a bit....then sand, and paint....

I'm not going to worry about doing the bondo work. If I was **** and this was a show truck, maybe. I am a perfectionist at times, but the hole looks fine, especially with it all painted now. FWIW, rust-oleum hammered silver plastic spray looks pretty good as a replacement to the more gunmetal gray OEM Level II radio bezel coating.

I like the mod. I'm no Bob (Rwenzing) when it comes to doing this type of stuff, let alone the other things he's done, but it's pretty cool. Now if I can just get the KC lights to work. This thing has been a wiring nightmare for me given my inexperience when it comes to this stuff, but ya gotta learn some how. I'm waiting for Bob to post pics of him pulling his hair out because of me!
