I got some good grabs at the j/y And i have an OHC question

Just got back from the junkyard, after having to go back up for my temp sensor for my OHC.

So i grabbed an 01 OHC w/temp sensor...the full wiring harness for 5.99 (not a bad grab)

Got an explorer radio bezel (needs some painting) 7.99

Got some new heater vent covers to paint 1.99

Aftermarket radio bracket - 1.00 i think

Stock faceplates (free) using them to make my own...so now i got some templates with all the little symbols like turn signals and stuff.

Got some other stuff but dont remember.

All in all for under 20 bucks i think i did a good job.

Anyways about the OHC.
After i install it im going to need to know how to recalibrate it probably. Does anyone know how to do this and all the codes/areas?

Fourth Step
Well you are done (lets hope). Put the key in the ignition and turn it and see if the console powers on and reads the temp properly (it will read 0 degrees if it isn't hooked up correctly).

Go find an abandoned parking lot and follow the following steps:

Press and hold the "MODE" button until you see "VAR" (takes around 5 seconds)

Release the "MODE" button. Push the "MODE" button until you have selected the zone you are currently in. (email me to find out your zone, I'll soon have a map up)

Release the "MODE" button and wait until the console is back at normal operation.

Press and hold the "MODE" button until you see "CAL" (takes around 9 seconds)

Release the "MODE" button.

Now the fun part. People will think you are crazy. Drive in a circle at around 3mph. Your console will be changing direction really fast. Continue to do this until the console is back at normal operations.

It was in the 1998 Ford Explorer's manual found here
