Lower Seat Brackets for '03 Extended Cab??
Hey there,
I have done a little searching on the forum and was wondering if anyone know a way to lower the seats about 2 inches in an extended cab '03 ranger. I am 6'5" and I am assuming that the drop in the ceiling in the extended cab is a support for the body due to the 4 doors. Anyway, it gets kind of annoying. Has anyone else addressed this issue? Thanks!

I'm 6'3" and I have an inch of clearance from the top of my head to the ceiling. My seat is slightly tilted back for comfort, but nothing like you see those little punk thug white wanna be kids practically laying in the back seat.
There was a guy (on one of these forums) that had cut his lower rails down an inch or so. He had access to the proper tools and knowledge of welding and cutting. There was write up somewhere on it. It turned out looking pretty good and he gained some head room. A definate 10 out of 10 on the difficulty scale, especially due to the fact that it's cutting up your seat rails. Those new welds better be damn good!!!
