04 seats in a 99

will 04 buckets from a supercab fit a 99 regular cab without too much modification? Are there aspects of them that are bolt in?

I heard somewhere that supercab seats won't bolt up to regular cabs, is this true? What were your seats out of?

ext cabs seats will NOT bolt into a reg cab for 98+. same with 97 and older. ext cab tacks will not fit a reg cab, but the seats unbolt off. 98+ doesnt' have that luxury.

Can I just drill new holes in the floor for the new seat tracks and bolt them in that way?

you could. some people have drilled out the rivets between the two tracks and swapped, but i dont know what is involved in that. if i remember correctly, the ext cab tracks aren't as long as the reg cab. the only other problem i could see is if the floor isn't flat. it may kick the seat up in the back, or not sit flat on the floor.

I have a 60/40 in there now if that makes any difference.

I suppose I could shim it if it wasn't level.

60/40 or buckets doesn't make a different. i think it it's going to sit uneven, the back is going to be higher than the front. can't shim the front due to how they mount.

you'll need buckets from a regular cab if you want it to be just bolt on. otherwise you'll need to swap seat tracks without hacking up the floor

yeah, pretty much 98+ reg cabs are the only thing to fit. now, i have heard 93-97 reg cab tracks are really close to fitting, and with them, you can do explorer, mustang, etc.

Yes!!!!

I have 99 supercab seats in my 03 regular cab - it was a pain in the rear, I had to put the feet from the 03 onto the 99 seat itself -there is almost a 3 inch difference in foot pattern.

Just find a regular and save yourself the trouble. i didn't even know the tracks were different. luckily i pulled mine for an regular anyway so i was non-the-wiser.
