For those looking for a "Silver" bezel for the radio

I found this place through an ad on here haha..

2WD:
Interior Trim Kit - Brushed Aluminum 2L5Z-1004288-AA

4WD:
Interior Trim Kit - Brushed Aluminum 2L5Z-1004288-BA

they're brushed aluminum, I'm tempted to order one and spray paint it black or go to PaintScratch Touch-Up Paint (p1), Spray Cans, Spray Paint, Paint Pens, Car Paint, Automotive Paint and get some DSG in a rattle can and do it that way.

Just an idea

List Price: $228.31
Our Price: $188.59
You Save: $39.72 (17%)

Oof, expensive.

But - it would look rather nice, especially if you painted it a color that you wanted to match with - it would hold up LOTS better then painting the plastic parts!

$$$$$ - Bling !

if you are going to paint why not just get a 2x Bezel from the JY, clean it up, paint it the color you want and it will cost far less than $180.

Why bother ?

The paint should match as I think these are genuine Ford OEM pieces. I assumed they were FX4 pieces based off the price, the ford part number, and the fact that the website was www.discountfordaccessories.com. I want a genuine Level II bezel but not for $180. LOL I could probably walk up to a lot of 03 Level II twin stick guys and they'd sell me their bezel right out of their truck for $100. Oh and why would you buy this if you're going to paint it. I hope you were looking at the price savings thinking that was the selling price of them. For $40 I'd probably buy one.

Edit: NVM it says they're adhesive backed parts so who knows what the deal is.

I just ordered a can of sonic blue from that site so I can paint some interior trim parts to match body without having to use a gun and mix the paint.

Mike....it's an overlay dressup in brushed aluminum. Similar to and probably the same as the old Thunderbolt carbon fiber or brushed aluminum optional accents. Stick-on goodies.

That silver "platinum" ford paint found on the Expo hvac panels, expo gauge bezels, Ranger radio bezels, and '03 ranger clusters are a hard item to match. Tre's tried and I've tried and failed epicly. lol. You can't get it in rattle can form because it's an accent color and not the entire entire trim code.

Have you tried going to a paint supply store and getting it matched? The local automotive paint shop here has a camera that takes a pic of the paint you want and then the computer makes a color to match and will put it in a spray can for you. I was planning on taking my 04 FX4 bezel down there to get some color matched paint. Then I was going to try to build my own Level II bezel. Oh do you ever check your PM's?

Yep, yesterday evening I read the information - and its just a 'stick on' with some 3m dual sided tape.. waste of money! If it was proper and a 100% replacement aluminum part - it wouldnt be so bad.. but still, the price is insane!
