There have been no confirmed mileage change on 04+ trucks. Try it out and let everyone know. I would think the PCM sends messages to the screen and presto bango, your mileage will be there. But, idk.

Icon8 Cluster Not Working.....

Well went out to install my new cluster and guess what it doesn't work.

I guess the PCM does not send the ODOMETER reading to the unit.I plugged the new one in and it read 9000 miles vice my 35000 miles...

so guess need to ask if I switch the odometer unit from my current one to the new one it should work, right?????

Also looking into the LED mod before i install it again...

That's odd I have the newer style digital gauge cluster in my Focus SVT and it keeps the mileage in the PCM.

That's odd the Ranger stores it in the cluster.

Did you take the needles off? I have had every single component of that cluster off - you can change the odometer but I don't see why that would help. If any information is stored on the cluster it is on the chip. Use your stock cluster and put the parts on that you want too.

I have extra white faces from a spare I bought, I don't know if I'll sell them on here or keep it as spare.

Unplug the battery, turn the headlight switch on and the off and plug the battery back up. See if that does anything.

Dude: read my posts and search. I did a full cluster replacement in a 2004 just a few weeks ago. There are quite a few 2003 and prior rangers with an LED swap. If you are looking for a new cluster face with a different look I suggest you call usspeedo at 810-244-0909 ask for rusty.

I bought thier needles for my cluster and thier products are good quality. Make sure if you are looking for needles that rusty gets you ones that will fit because the original 2004 needles that they sent me were too big and woulndt hold onto the shafts of the motors. Instead he is sending me GM needles that he says should fit much tighter.

From what I have looked at they sell a 'stainless steel' looking and an "aqua" looking face set for the ranger. I like my white gauges more so I'm not interested in those, however you might be.

Please search for relevant info on cluster mods before posting as there is a lot of good info on ranger-forums.

I had asked if anyone if they had done just a color swap(scratch the green off and paint blue) instead of using leds(just use the stock white bulbs). Then I asked if they made stock replacement LED's. I had seen someone with them but they said they were too long in that post... and havn't seen an answer on the bulb type/part number for the shorter ones....

Ford must've changed that for the newer models. My roomate swapped a cluster with a tach into his 2007 ZX3 and it was stored in the cluster, so it reads more than it actually has lol
