60/40 to 40/40 conversion Question?

Is it possible or has anyone tried to put a passenger seat pan on the drivers side? Just the bottom part of the seat. To avoid cutting sewing etc...? I ws just curious if it had been done, I'd like to do the conversion, but destroying my factory seat is out of the question. And explorer seats are a bit pricey. Any info would be helpful.

Thanks,
Chris

Don't know. First thought is the tilt adjustment would be on a different side.

It's not really as hard as it looks. It's also fun to cut up your seat...

i took an extra passenger seat and put the uppe pad and seat back onto a drivers pan, just had to cut a hole for the adjustor to come thru the fabric and cut off one tab from the pan

did that on my old 99
