Has anyone ever tried to get the green off these?

i started on mine tonight, and it's now a worthless pile. tried gently scraping the green off, and ended up taking the black off as well, which takes the image away.

i want to turn these blue, but what you see on the front that is white, has green paint on the backside. when attempting to sand or scrape it off, it is taking the image off as well. tried sanding some and the platinum color comes off. can you post a pic of your evan?

if you open the back (push the pins and take the face off) there is a green filter inside, just pull it out and cut off the green.

Or thats how it was when i changed mine to blue

nope. had a clear filter on it. had a thick clear piece, and then a paper thin clear one. the green is actually on the back of the overlay.

yeah, i sanded down one of the ***** and the green came right off. then realized the ***** from the ranger one (with the blue) and blue on the ***** already. I did try to shine one of the leds through the overlay and it appeared blue, but don't want any green. maybe a few extra leds will over power the green. i'm buying another panel and sending the screwed up over lay to a guy on rps to see if he can do something with it.

there is no black on the front. i'm pretty sure the leds will be enough to over power the green. i'll find out this weekend hopefully.
