shift ****/boot/bezel killing me

idk why I cant find any information on this because it seems like it would be more common... my 97 b4000 has a "removable" shift ****. I understand that this is not uncommon. I would like to fix this problem one way or another but the bigger problem is that I want the bezel with the 2 cup holders and I am having a serious problem finding one. I do know that there are a few styles of these and the mounting screws look to be the same but idk if they are shaped different or if I can get one from any year in within this generation or not and also how do you remove the boot/bezel if the shift **** is glued on if I go to a junk yard. thanks in advance because I have been trying to figure this one out for a few months now.

The two cup setup came on a lot of Rangers, should be easy to find.

My Stock Boot slipped off, not sure if this is normal but it slipped off.

The top of my boot slipped down so I could get a tool on between the shift **** and the boot and I banded the shift **** up until it popped off; it never stayed on again but no matter I switched to a Hurst Shifter and have ever looked back, great shifter.

yea you would think! at least in my area its pretty hard... ive been to 5 different junk yards and I found 2... one of them all 4 screw posts were broken off and the other was cracked in half... and yes I would love the hurst shifter but will the hurst boot fit with the cup holder bezel or no... long story short this is my first "ranger" and I am coming along slowly but still don't know all the ins and outs... my other question is my truck is a 97... say I get one off of a 2003 or something will it still work.. I would imagine it would but I do know that the boot/bezel styling is a little different

I will look in the shop and see if my old two cup bezel is still around.

Fitment... Are we talking Hurst Shifter or Ford OEM Shifter Bezel ?

I don't know about the Shifter, so can't say but the Bezel should work, the boot I would say no.

I used a Hurst Boot on the OEM Bezel will have to see what I have.

yea thanks a lot! if the hurst boot fits in the oem bezel that's even better... I have a factory set up right now but am planning on getting a hurst as soon as i find one with the right price.

Watch the Classified Section on this site; used ones always pop up and you can always talk them down in price.
