New Scangauge mount

Just finished my custom scangauge..
Not perfect, I tried to use krylon wrinkle paint.. and it just messed it up. Went along with it due to time constraints.. and here it is!

Really clean but can you read it without it being a distraction at that angle?

That's what I was planning on trying... whenever I get around to installing my OHC!

Looks awesome. Is it easy to read? Just seems low and kinda blocked by the shifter in 1st, 3rd, and 5th gears.

I used to have mine low like that. Hated it.

I love it, the angle is great. 3rd gear blocks a little of the vision, but 5th is completely out of the way. I will take a few pictures from my perspective to show its not in the way. I wanted it somewhere I can access it, see it, but without it being a major distraction. I think the angle is just fine. No problems seeing it whatsoever.

What do you use yours for? Cuz i use mine for RPMs, TPS, gas, and MPH (w/ 13% offset). I use it more than my cluster. It would be impractical for me to have mine there. I have mine on the column

Here is a picture for all those worried about the angle..

I just got mine, so I haven't really played around with what I will have it monitor, but it wont replace, it will supliment my insturment cluster so I like it accessable, but out of the way. + I hate wires dancing around and really dig the factory looking mods

I think its looks pretty cool. But until i get a cluster with a tach and a way to set the speedo for a 13% offset i need mine up close, lol

Saw the thread over at RPS and I gotta say...REALLY NEAT IDEA!!! Though, that's an absolute no-go for me...someone who uses their scangauge as their speedo and pay attention to fuel consumption on the go. But I'll give it to ya...great original neat idea. I really do like it.

I plan on mounting my OHC brains inside that cubby someday.

Thanks Shane!

Yeah, Like i said its supplement for what I got (almost stock 2wd duratec) I ain't pushing big tires with whacked off ratios, so I plan on using it to track fuel consumption, and monitor other feeds. Just a tool within reach

dude....what's the big deal, Tim? You don't even notice it's there. at least there's something plugging the hole and not filling up with mud, dirt, dust, etc...deeming it unusable.

Yeah, Curtis. They sure are neat little gadgets aren't they!!?!?!?? I love mine so much, my dad bought an extra cable so he can borrow mine whenever he wants...UGGG! lol. Little brother bought his own. We like neat little gadgets 'round this family. lol.

it has the wire come out of the side of the plug, so it sits fairly low profile. Barley sticks out at all.
