weird OHC?

weird OHC?
Just picked up an OHC and popped the lens off of the lights and saw this



back side


sh*t looks weird to me, the past ones i've done had those "tube" bulbs or whatever their real name is.

i think thats how mine is^....but the bulbs might be switched the other way

hmm well i won't find out how it works til spring or maybe later unless i hook it up to the battery just to test it which i MAY do next week. right now im just spraying it and letting it sit

the light is directed toward the reflectors so it gives off a more even light...i think lol

Test it out and see if it works! I don't think mine is like that... I don't remember though.

lol i didn't take the lens off of yours just tested the display. just weird i've never seen one liek this and today i saw 2 like it.

i have had both styles i think those are the newer style it makes it easier to change the bulbs.

I've not seen one like this before either. I've always seen the other way.
I wonder if there is correlation, like certain years got that one, or maybe certain trim.

I would assume this is brighter than the normal tube bulb type of OHC

idk maybe. this was the only non-sunroof one i found today and it didn't have a lens covering the lights or the display so i pieced it out of 2 ohc's

the "tube" bulbs are called festoons. you can get those in led in bright as hell! ohc looks legit tho

I have both styles sitting in my garage. Never paid that much attention to it. Just figured it was an updated OHC.

mine is that style too. how did you test the display? i have the lights hooked up but idk if the rest is hooked up right or if my display is fried :(

Yup, mine looked like that before I ripped it all out and put LED boards in their place

i put the power wire and ground onto the battery

also, i was thinking about a mustang dome light having those bulbs lmao....its been a while.
